They wouldn't eat till they have bathed , at the prescribed time after the solar eclipse..
They would wash the house throughly, completely, no matter what be the water situation...
The house had to be cleaned after the eclipse....and slokas had to be said all the while the eclipse lasted.....
Yes, they strictly adhered to the scriptures....
Every detail was attended to, except perhaps bothering about others.....
