A Little Girl’s fairy tale

There was once a little girl, a bit of a dreamer, of dreams, that were even surrealist in the dream world.
And then there was her father, the man who edged her onto dream no matter how outlandish they got.
One day, the little girl saw an astrologer trying to predict someone’s future from the lines in their palm…..the girl became confused. Do these lines really determine my future, she wondered. What about all my beautiful dreams then??? What if these lines don’t go the way I want them to?

The little girl that she was, She began to cry. Even tears of a child can be so beautiful. They stood on her face, like little dew drops on a Lotus leaf.

She couldn’t let her dream world come crashing down. Didn’t her father tell her that any dream was possible??

She ran to her father and spread out her hands in front of him and asked him with all the innocence, that only children can really have,
“Appa,I saw someone tell future by reading these lines….”
She didn’t have to continue, for her father understood what the little child was trying to say…
He held her hands and ran his finger along one tiny line in her palm, and he started,
“You see that line there, my child. How do you think that line is formed on your hand?”, he paused. The little girl thought hard, but she didn’t’ know.

The father then formed a fist of the tiny hand that he held and then opened out her palm and began,
“You see these lines, you can bend your hands along them..you see that...so these lines are formed as you bend your palm to form a fist or while doing any other thing with your hand…you see that??”

The child’s eyes widened…The father continued,
“So these lines in your palm don’t determine your future…but instead you determine how these lines in your palm go by the way you use your hands……..it is your wish , my child, it is all in how you use your hands……you determine your own future…”

The little girl smiled her wildest smile ever and her beautiful world of dreams was as pristine as ever…

The punch line was amazing... "your future is in your hands" !

Dont agree with people who debunk palmistry though!
