Goof up #2 - The Thing called miracle!

My life is one big goof up!!
I am always making mistakes, exceeding deadlines, making some body or the other feel bad.....getting into trouble....fighting with sis.... my life is spent correcting the mistakes that i have done..... Do i have a tough life???

hey!! But that is me..that is the way i am made..if i stop these goof ups..my friends wont even recognize who i am.....hmmph!!

and what keeps me going , despite all these troubles..well....some faith and lots of hope!

:)

so, what happened now?, you ask....well..here goes...

Last thursday, i took the direct bus to office from home, with the library book , i had borrowed from my friend, in hand,in case i got a seat, i can read it duirng the one and half hour journey.....but as usual, i do not get a seat....as the bus was meandering through the many turns and bumping through the ups and downs...i gave my book to a passenger who was seated to hold....so i can get a better grip and try to stay on my foot....

standing for an hour and 15 mins took its toll on me..i so totally forgot about the book....came my stop and i got off from the bus and walked towards office...and then went to chola sheraton..and then work and then suddenly i remembered...

"didn't i have something in my hand in the morning..apart from my handbag that is????"..uh oh!!!

A hundred emotions came crashing in on me....it wasn't even a book on my library card..it was my friend's book.......i didnt know what to do......i wouldn't have minded if i had lost a book that i had borrowed on my card..i had lost my friend's book....and so i decided to try to get it back....somehow....

And so , on thursday, i went to the bus depot near my house , from where the bus starts, and enquired.....no hopes there...one bus conductor i spoke to, smiled and said that one can find only grazing cows and not offices in that place....but it was not my fault that i stay in the suburbs....its all the government's fault as usual.....

and so i decided to take the same bus the next day (i.e. friday), but to my mis-fortune, i found another bus-conductor, not the same one as thursday...i asked him, he didnt have an idea..but asked me to go to Little mount bus depot...and so i got off in saidapet and walked to that depot,it was quite a distance beleive me......hmmmm...and the scorching sun.....i reached this other depot and enquired about the lost and found section..and was directed to another place, where i was asked to wait till 10 AM, that is when the people would start coming in..and so i waited.....hoping against hope...

10.15 AM, a man walked in and i described my book to him....he didnt have it....there was a suitcase full of engineering books..but not a single novel.....now i smiled thinking that i have company.....
:)
but poor thing , whoever it was, who had misplaced that suticase.....

and so, i produced the ticket, i had and they verified if that particular bus belonged to the Little mount depot or some other depot...and two phone calls later, they informed me that i had to enquire the Alandur depot.....

and i didnt know where this alandur depot was...OMG!!!It was already 10.30 and i had to reach office atleast by 11 AM.....so off i went....and felt very guilty when my friend asked me if i could return the book by monday.......

Saturday i was sick as hell......cold and fever..i couldnt go to the alandur depot..so i decided to call up the library and ask them as to what i should do about the lost book...should i buy and replace or shall i pay up in cash.......sunday, i requested a friend to go to the depot for me.....and got only negative news.......

So today morning, not really feeling all that well...and having the additional burden of having to tell my friend that i lost my book....i took the very bus i take everyday and to my surprise found that the same conductor, i saw on thursday was there...and so i decided to aks him if he saw any book....and he replied in the negative and started telling me about how other people forget things..and how many he had collected and left in the lost and found section in the bus depot..when suddenly...something magical happened......

The same lady, i had given the book to, on thursday, called me and gave me the book.....and i thanked her profusely..i stopped short of falling at her feet actually...it was so nice of her to keep bringing th book everyday, in the hope that the owner would come looking for it....

There are loads of good people out there...

And this is my little miracle......
