They would smile wickedly
and conspire,on how to bring in
more revenue to the organisation
and in return rake in more performance benefits...
They would eat into the lower rung employees
who didn't have much of a chance
trying to find a job outside
and would hence never need a motivation
to stay on.....
And hence, all the supposed performance benefits
to all those non-managerial staff would be cut down
and converted into the revenue......
which would be translated to a good performance
for that manager.....
and hence a higher performance benefit for him/her
PS: This is just a comment on the scenario in manufacturing comapnies..it is just my opinion..
