The Girl-seeing ceremony

Take 1

The mannequin stood there
displaying the clothes and the jewellery
and the setting around was spruced up
to match the grandeur of the mannequin
and food was served as an incentive
The visitors could now decide.........

Take 2

It was her day..
the day when she could get a makeover
the day when she could shine in all her beauty
So she dressed up in all her finery
and She had to make a decision too....
an all important one...
So she smiled a shy, yet confident smile.....

You write well monu.

simple thoughts well written. Have you thought about publishing some of this.

She has to serve coffee without spilling it
She has to sing songs so as to impress everyone
She has to fall at everybody's feet
She has to answer questions like "Do you know cooking?"
Her face should always see her toes

.....what was the outcome of this ceremony? don't disappoint us by telling that it was just out of your imagination.

I never had to go thru that ordeal! thank god~

@ sanjiv - hmmmm maybe .....:)

I'm not pessimistic monu... I'm just saying what i've seen and observed .. 90% of all love marriages won't be fairy tales after 2 years...

My advice to all fans of romance and love marriage is.. stay single... keep on falling in love and keep looking forward to ur next love..

IBH said...

That is ur take on it Sanjiv....I mite sound a bit rude and selfish..but that is my take on it...my marriage is going strong in its second year and I am pretty sure it will go strong forever..anyways it is in the hands of two individuals as to how to make things work and the marriage work..if either one of them give up then yeah mite be u are rite...in that case this is same with the arranged marriage too :)

so it is upto u...u make it work ,it works magic on u..,u give u love and marriage givesup on u!

So Be happy!
HAKUNA MATTATA!
