Notebook Scribblings Part V

its friday poeple..
and i will not be posting for two days.....
till then will leave this notebook scribbling :

to all those who feel denied

Every denial my friend
is an opportunity in disguise

look at the world to know
that only a pained heart knows

with your every denial
god has chiselled you into a finer diamond

with your every grief
god has penned a much greater success for you

you are denied beacuse you are wanted to know
you know because you are denied

a sensitive heart becomes so
the more it is denied

so never let hope go
remember...you are the finer diamond
(29/3/02)

i dont remember as to when i worte this one, but it is very close to my heart...
I read somewhere:
Difficulty introduces you to yourself

sometimes in life we might feel that we are less gifted than others in many respects...the truth is that this denial gives us an opportunity to learn something and improve ourselves...

everytime i have longed for something and got it, i have valued it...
everytime i have felt pain, i have been able to empathise with and help others too...
everytime i felt denied, i have seen opportunities....

okay..getting too heavy?
simple thing is that sometime i might feel disadvantaged, rather than curse God ...i can take that as an opportunity in disguise...

our difficulties make people out of us....
what do you people say? would love to hear your viewpoints................

Difficulty is something which is relative. All your difficulties and happiness are based on how you perceive the world and what your thoughts are.

Fate and destiny might appear to be the same , but in reality there's a subtle difference. Fate is often used when you lose hope and no longer believe in yourself. Destiny on the other hand is a positive force, and to realise his/her destiny is one's true obligation. Does this explanation relate to your question? In a way...coz you will face all the real problems when you follow your dreams and all other trivial issues which many consider to be a problem is something which they can live with. And whatever problem you face while living out your dream is not a problem at all and if you are not living out your dream, you are creating the problem for yourself. As swami vivekananda has said, "No blow received by you is undeserved" which means you must have contributed in some way to what you consider as a problem. I've related it to many issues which i once considered as "problems" and it holds good for every one of them.

You should read "The Alchemist" by Paulo coelho whenever you find time.

Depends on people if they are tough diamonds or just hardened clay. the former gets better with adversity, while the latter whithers away. And once again, Nice style of writing :)

"no blow you get in life is undeserved"

Well..I have my own interpretations of this even though my usual answer would be "he's a great man and maybe i am not upto the level of understanding to know what he means" which is another way of saying "who knows"

anyways...getting a blow while following a dream is something you deserve because the dream of people is to be happy if seen on a broader perspective, and if you are straying away from your happiness , you are the only cause for that as your my is conditioned to be happy or sad based on certain situations. Look at it this way, say you have an other sense along with hearing, seeing, smell, taste and touch. The way you see the world will vary and so will your state of mind. Because, as i had said, happiness and sadness are just perceptions by our brain while in reality it can be happiness all the time, only provided you want to see the world that way.

I have read "river piedra"...deals more with christianity, but alchemist is a real gem.

And again monu will still keep asking "where are your glasses meow meow!" :-)

@sriram

you are right!
i read somewhere that its a question of attitude
"failures can be stepping stones or stumbling blocks , depending on whether we have positive or negative mental attitude!"
