Happy Weekend..

Friday is here..yet another weekend...
Which means that i wont be posting for another two days....
:(

I wish you all a happy weekend...i plan to read the book(the monk who sold his ferrari)...no other plans....
Its 7.30 pm here..got some more work ..will finish that and leave home..

Think about this........

If somebody, anybody bruises your ego...
  • Would you wait till your threshold is reached, and then retort?
  • Would you retort right away?
  • Would you be calm and carry on and in that prove that you are the superior person?
  • Would you talk it out , some time later, when tempers are not flaring?
  • If you do choose to retort, how would you retort? would you speak back in an emotional fashion? (you have a bruised ego....and you are hurt..emotional from that point of view)
  • Or would you choose to not allow anyone to hurt your ego? as in you can decide if you want to get hurt or not??

what would i do?

i wait for sometime, beyond which if i cant tolerate the person's behaviour , i retaliate with anger and emotion...i know that is not right and sometime..work on improving that thing in me....

So what can i tell you...only this:

Anything done when angry or emotional will , in most of the cases not be correct

Very true. Anger leads to our downfall more than anything else.

I used to be a spit-fire person but I have 'mellowed' and these days just let it slide, unless I know that its constructive criticism from somebody who I really care about; then I try to see the value of their opinion and act accordingly. For the rest, I just 'flip the bird' ;-)

@ramya,
welcome to my blog....
yep..constructive criticism from our friends helps.... but undue behaviour that bruises my ego is the problem....

i need some anger-management!!
:)
thanks for visiting and keep visiting my blog!

Happy week end.....made me think..but not for long!;) coz I retaliate then and there if that person rubs my ego in a wrong way! U see now a days storage is costly for all the grudges! :)

so then and there..finish it off wash it off!.....ONLY IF if i get rubbed in the wrong way!

I've learnt to mellow down a little but habits die hard. Life teaches you a lot of lessons.

One thing is sure..Anger...hurts...both the parties.!

Hmm...the monk who sold his ferrari starts off nicely and has some good points...but overall its not a good book, atleast in my opinion.

Anger is a very strong emotion....leading to consequences unforeseen....as far as anyone bruising ego goes 4 me.....i take the ignorance is bliss route.....

hmm ... nice topic! somehow in my case, I am very sensitive to people bruising my ego. But I usually give it some time to heal by itself before I react!

Have a nice weekend, monu!

Actually i will react according to the person who did that to me.

If it is someone i am not totally aware of then i will not take any crap from him, will retort right away.

If it is someone who is very close to me then i would talk it out sometime later.

if i know the person then i mite take some crap, but if i dont know the person then no crap i react rightaway, but even when i am angry i seldom raise my voice and i dont show it that often.
if osme1 get angry too often, then the anger looses it valuse, but if soome1 doesnt get angry often and they get angry, then ppl r shit scared even if tat perosn doesnt raise their voice

thats was my point about a person not allowing another person to hurt his ego....but thats a tough
one for me to follow!

@Mr.Narayanan
:)
Life does teach a lot of lessons....but some lessons are better learnt from other people's mistakes...

@manoj
atleast, the book is not a page turner..thats why i didn't turn even a page in these two days!!

@sharana

how do you do that??
me thinking abt it.....

@gayathri
shows you have great patience...

@kay
i do that too..thats why i am a much more patient person at home than i am at work...sometimes i wonder if it should be the other way round....
:)

@srivatsan
you have a point about the frequency of anger.....
:)

@thennavan

@jac
