Creativity?

i always wondered how people write fiction...why? because i feel i am so creatively challenged.....
i cant write a piece of fiction, let alone a piece of life inspired fiction, or a semi-autobigraphical story( like you have seen something happen , and that kind of gives you an idea that you build upon using the magic ingredient...Creativity) ..
I rememer , the last time i tried my hand at short-story writing (that was sometimes during my tenth standard),i thought, the end-product was a mature story...and i showed it to my un-willing critic, my sister..and she had this to say:

"you should try writing stories for children......."

My heart broke into a thousand pieces, i collected them all and went back, a little bag of bones....
i thought i had written a story that was mature enough..and what did i get to hear....
but not once did i doubt my sis's judgement...i just stopped writing stories....or writing anything fictional.... but would love to write fiction...seriously..i am awed at people's creativity..as to how people can paint these amazing pictures in the canvas of thier brain and so beautifully put them in words..and share thier dreams ( visions of the mind, if i may say so) with million others....

i am trying..let us see...if i can come up with something good enough.........
