I saw a baby last saturday..
a very sweet , active baby....
sleeping..and making little noises....
crying out...in that shrill sound so typical of babies.....
and gulping down milk...
no whims....
and tiny fingers..extremely soft hair...
by all standards cute.....
and alive....i must mention that....alive....
he wouldnt have been alive..if a generous good soul, i know ,hadnt
adopted him.....but today he is.........
i read somewhere that
"The birth of a child brings with it a good news that God has still
not lost hope with humanity!"
....and this baby wouldnt even have been born...if an angel had not stepped forward......
but he is very much alive and kicking... :-)
i am glad i met the baby.....
felt nice to see a good deed happening.....to see a secure surrounding for the child...
I think this is one sure shot way of removing the caste mentality so much
sculpted into our peoples' psyche.....
to love a human being as just another human being without the
shroud of caste, creed and other things hiding one's eyes....is nice...really nice...
In a country where caste is so deeply ridden in peoples' mind that they wouldnt even
eat the food given by a person belonging to a so called lower community....
such differentiating mentality is everywhere...not just here in india ..
just that the reasons are different...
you are different from me ...so stay away from me..seems to be the mantra...

but to look at a aperson as just a human being without the shroud of caste,creed,community,
religion,colour...etc....etc.....and love them........is the work of god!!!!!
and thats what my friend did.....
accepted the baby as his own......
